The family’s story began in the 19th century, and today the estate is run by the Pascal Morel family, who continue the tradition of crafting authentic wines that faithfully express the character of their terroir.
The Morel name is inseparable from Rosé des Riceys, one of France’s rarest and most distinctive wines. Pascal Morel is regarded as a specialist of this historic appellation, and his family’s mission is to preserve and convey the unique identity of Les Riceys in every bottle.
The vineyards are located in the southern part of Champagne, where a warmer climate and limestone-clay soils allow Pinot Noir to achieve exceptional ripeness. This is why Morel Champagnes are renowned for their generous fruit character, elegance, and distinctive personality.
The family’s philosophy is rooted in respect for nature and a long-term commitment to vineyard work. The estate is certified under the Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) standard and places great emphasis on preserving biodiversity, maintaining natural grass cover between the vines, and employing environmentally responsible farming practices.
