Champagne Joseph Desruets is a family-owned Champagne house located in Hautvillers, France—the village where Dom Pérignon is said to have discovered Champagne. Established in 1888 by Edmond Alexandre and Laure Vautrin-Gillet, the family initially pressed grapes and sold still wines to larger Champagne houses. Today, the sixth generation, brothers Matthias and Thomas Kim Eun Desruets, uphold the family's winemaking heritage, blending traditional methods with modern practices. They are committed to organic viticulture, aiming to preserve the environment and ensure the highest quality in their Champagnes. A distinctive feature of Champagne Joseph Desruets is their use of one of the oldest wooden presses in the Champagne region, dating back to 1888 and still in operation.
